SchoolComms

Payments for school trips and school dinners are made online through the SchoolComms system. This allows the school office to spend less time administering cash handling and more time to provide an efficient service to parents.

Eastfield and Westfield schools both use the same payments provider. We use the Schoolcomms system to process payments in addition to sending letters and texts to you. Online payments should be easier and quicker for you and help keep administration in the school office to a minumum compared to handling cash and cheques.

Setting up the account is straightforward - there are no codes required. The system checks that the contact details you enter match the current details held by the school.

The system is called School Gateway – and it’s available for you to use now. You can already use it to receive messages from the school, monitor your child's attendance and notify us of changes to your contact details.

Instructions for registration

1. Go to www.schoolgateway.com

2. When you visit the School Gateway website for the first time, please select ‘New User’ and enter your email address and mobile telephone number you have registered with the school

3. The system will send a PIN code to your phone; please enter this PIN code and your account will be activated for you.

As soon as you’ve got the system set-up, you’ll be able to pay money to the school online using the new provider.

If you’ve recently changed your email address or mobile telephone number, please let us know so we can update our records.

There is a choice of payment methods; Debit Card, Credit Card and Bank Transfer. You will not be charged whichever method you use, but the school does incur a transaction charge. Using Bank Transfer costs the school half the price of either of the other methods.

If you have an Android or iOS phone, the SchoolComms app, called SchoolGateway, app is a very convenient way to pay - as well as allowing the school to send messages to your phone at no cost. Please note; if you have already installed the Schoolcomms app, you won't need to re-register - the payments module will become available to you automatically.
